Uttarakhand : One arrested with 6 boxes of English liquor in Barkot

In Jankichatti, the main stop of Yamunotri Dham, the police arrested a person with 6 boxes of illegal English liquor on Saturday night while taking action against drugs. Against whom a case has been registered under the Excise Act.

For some time, there were complaints of illegal drug and drug trade around Jankichatti, the main stop of Yamunotri Dham, on which a raid operation was conducted on Saturday night under the supervision of Barkot CO Surendra Singh Bhandari and SHO Gajendra Bahuguna. Jankichatti Police raiding on the information of informer arrested Jagmohan Lal from Beef village (Narayan Puri), Jankichatti with 6 boxes of illegal English liquor. On the basis of arrest and recovery, a case was registered against him under the Excise Act at Barkot police station. The arresting team included sub-inspector Ranjit Khaneda, in-charge outpost Jankichatti Nitesh Bijalvan, Anil Nautiyal, Varsha.
