Uttarakhand : After increasing the reward for those who bring medals, Dhami government will bring an ordinance, players of the state will get 4 percent reservation

After 27 percent reservation for OBC community in Jharkhand, Sports Minister Rekha Arya in Dhami government talked about bringing an ordinance for four percent reservation for Uttarakhand players. He said that many steps would be taken to encourage the sports talent of the state, out of which it was also said to bring an ordinance for reservation.

The reward of those who bring medals has also increased

The government will bring an ordinance to give four percent reservation to the players in Uttarakhand. Sports Minister Rekha Arya instructed the officials to prepare a proposal for this. Recently, the Pushkar Singh Dhami-led government had announced to increase the prize money for bringing medals to the sportspersons of the state.

Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Rekha Arya reviewed the Sports Department at Yamuna Colony’s residence on Wednesday. During this, he took the progress report of the works done by the department so far. He said that a fresh proposal should be prepared to give four percent reservation to the players in the state. He said that this proposal would first be placed before the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. After that this proposal will be placed in the cabinet and then an ordinance will be brought in this context. So that the players of Uttarakhand can get the benefit of four percent reservation.

Many sports competitions will be organized in the state

He said that various competitions are to be organized for sports in the state. In such a situation, it is our endeavor to prepare players at village, block and district level. He said that an action plan would be prepared to bring forth the talent of these areas. He also directed to prepare an action plan for the development of sports grounds in the state during this period. When sports activities are not going on in the sports grounds, a proposal for their commercial use should be prepared.
