Ban on gutkha, pan masala and tobacco in Haryana for one year

Deputy Commissioner Partha Gupta informed that the Haryana Food and Drugs Department has banned gutkha, pan masala and tobacco in the state for the next one year. Regarding this, orders have been issued by the Commissioner of Haryana Food and Drug Administration Department to all the District Deputy Commissioners, all the Superintendents of Police, all the Civil Surgeons, all the designated officers and all the Food and Safety Officers of the state.
He said that on September 7, 2022, under Regulation 2.3.4 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Prohibition of Sale) Regulations, 2011 and Regulations 3.1.7 of (Food Products Standards and Food Addiction) Regulations, 2011, Anti-caking (with extended permission). ) is banned. Now the Commissioner of Food and Drug Administration Department, Haryana has approved these orders for the next one year. The manufacture, storage, distribution or sale of tobacco is now prohibited in the interest of public health. Action will be taken against those violating the order under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006.
