Chattisgarh : CM Bhupesh paid tribute to Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati Maharaj; Said- Let us walk on the path shown by him, this is the true tribute to him

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel attended the tribute meeting organized at the Town Hall on Saturday to pay tribute to Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati Maharaj. In the tribute meeting, swasti reading and peace recitation were done while paying homage to Brahmalin Shankaracharya. Various citizens including the Chief Minister paid their respects in the meeting.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Swaroopanand Saraswati was a great personality of Maharaj ji, his words are like nectar for all of us. We were all born in his era, it is the good fortune of all of us. Let us all walk on the path shown by him, this will be a true tribute to him.
Recalling the old memories, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that whenever Maharajji used to come to Chhattisgarh, he used to take the meritorious benefit of his darshan. He devoted his whole life to religion and society. Shankaracharya was meritorious since childhood and had memorized all religious texts. He also actively participated in the freedom movement, also fought with the British. I am fortunate that when I was the revenue minister, land was allotted for his ashram in Chhattisgarh with my signature, then when our government came, he handed over a free land lease for the ashram.
Minister Premsai Singh Tekam, Minister Kawasi Lakhma, Chhattisgarh Cow Service Commission Chairman Rajshri Mahant Ramsunder Das, MLA Kuldeep Juneja, MLA Brijmohan Agrawal and other dignitaries were present in the tribute meeting.
