A meeting was held regarding smart policing in Uttarakhand, Additional Chief Secretary gave instructions to the officers

At the Police Headquarters, Additional Secretary Radha Raturi held a meeting with the police officers regarding smart policing. During the meeting, police officers including DGP Ashok Kumar were present in the meeting. Additional Secretary Radha Raturi said that Uttarakhand Police is continuously working on smart policing. Additional Secretary Radha Raturi said that the way crimes are increasing among women and children, they should be resolved soon. Efforts are being made to make the statement taking system online in police stations. Emphasis is being laid on making the affidavit filed by the Police Department in the High Court online. Work is being done on the concept of a smart police. Working with the Prime Minister’s Smart Police Vision of Tough and Sensitive, Modern and Mobile, Vigilant and Accountable, Reliable and Responsive as well as technically efficient and efficient. Continuous efforts are being made to make Uttarakhand Police smart.

What will be done for smart policing

• Only one corps of SDRF is established in the state. Efforts should be made to raise another company in this.
• The cooperation of other departments and voluntary organizations should be taken in Operation Mukti, which has been run to stop the tendency of children to beg.
• Those caught in the case of drugs can be sent to the rehab center. For this the cooperation of voluntary organizations should be taken.
• Right counseling should be done from the women helpline of increasing crimes against women, so that women can get help.
• Provincial Police Service cadre will be rescheduled soon.
• Separate manpower is not sanctioned in different police units, in this, efforts will be made to sanction 138 posts of ATS, 32 of ANTF, 36 of Pantnagar Airport, 191 of AHTU, 36 posts of cow protection squad.
• Efforts will be made to designate the posts from the constable tradesmen in class IV posts.
• Efforts will be made to approve a lump sum budget for PAC vehicles from the government level. The budget will be released soon from the government level in Uniform Regulation, Sports Fund, Material Supply.
• In the matter of parole, the superintendents of police have been instructed to submit the correct report, so that more prisoners can be released on parole, which will reduce the burden of jails.
• The process of filing counter affidavit will be done online.
• Efforts will also be made to amend the law in conducting the trial online.
