Senior leaders ignored in PCC member selection in Uttarakhand! Discord in Congress, Pithoragarh MLA resigns from PCC after son of former state president

The members have been elected by the Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee. But the list has not been released. The resignations have started even before the release of the list. Due to which the declared list of newly elected members of PCC has been mired in controversy. After Abhishek Singh, son of former Congress state president Pritam Singh, now the Pithoragarh MLA has also resigned from the membership of the State Congress Committee. He has alleged that the leaders of big and mass base are being neglected in the party. Abhishek Singh, son of former state president and former Leader of Opposition Pritam Singh and Pithoragarh MLA Mayuk Mahar resigned from the membership of PCC. Abhishek has cited the neglect of senior and mass-based leaders in the selection of PCC members as the reason behind his resignation. It is being told that the Congress had released the list of PCC two days ago, due to which many leaders are angry. It is believed that after Abhishek and Mayukh Mehar, some others are also preparing to resign.

16 out of 19 MLAs place in the list

The declared list of newly elected members of the Pradesh Congress Committee has been embroiled in controversy. In the list of 222 members of PCC, the dominance of veteran and big leaders of the state and their family members is clearly visible. Out of the total 19 MLAs of the party, 16 have been given place in the list. Deputy Leader of Opposition Bhuvan Kapri and MLA Mamta Rakesh are out of this list.

After the crushing defeat in the assembly elections, the Congress high command handed over the command of state president to Karan Mahara in place of Ganesh Godiyal.
