Uttarakhand : After the cremation of the girl in the Uttarakhand resort murder case, the women got angry with the police

In Uttarakhand resort murder case victim Ankita Bhandari was cremated in Srinagar. Before Ankita’s funeral, the victim’s father explained to the people opposing the incident. Hundreds of people from Pauri, the girl’s hometown, took part in the funeral, during which there was a lot of resentment among the women regarding the police administration. Many women shouted at the police that they would stay here till the killers were hanged. People alleged that Ankita’s father has been intimidated. At the same time, people are also angry with the action of the police. People also raised slogans of Police Murdabad.

The victim’s father has earlier demanded the hanging of the accused. He has also said that the post-mortem report should be given to him and the matter should be heard in the fast track court. He told NDTV that he had informed the police only on September 18, the day his 19-year-old daughter went missing. He told, ‘Police did a good job later in the investigation, but it is the fault of the patwari (revenue officer). He has been negligent in his work. At the same time, he told that he has not demanded any compensation from the government yet.

Meanwhile, former BJP leader Vinod Arya, father of main accused Pulkit Arya, on Sunday called his son a straight boy and denied all the allegations against him. Vinod Arya said, ‘He is a simple child. He cares about his work. I want justice for both my son and the girl. The BJP expelled Vinod Arya and his son Ankit Arya from the party. Vinod Arya, however, claimed that he himself had resigned from the party on Saturday for a fair probe into the matter.
