The BJP said that in the Ankita murder case, both the investigation and the proceedings are going on at a fast pace and none of the guilty will escape. BJP’s state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chouhan said that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is personally monitoring the matter. He said that the CM has also announced immediate relief for Ankita’s family and the SIT probing the matter is actively investigating. He said that two patwaris with suspected role in the case have been suspended. At the same time, the CM has assured for the trial of the case in the fast track court.

The party has made it clear by showing the accused’s father and brother out of the party that he can never have any relationship with people of criminal character. He said that after the report was filed, before Ankita’s body was recovered, the police sent the killers behind the bars and after that Ankita’s body was also recovered. He said that Ankita is the daughter of the entire state and the opposition needs to discharge more responsibility in a sensitive and sad environment.

He said that everyone’s goal is one that the killers of Ankita should be punished severely and whoever is involved in this should also come under the purview of the law. Therefore the opposition also needs to cooperate with the investigating agencies. There is public outrage at this incident and it should not be seen through a political lens. The investigation of the matter is going on thoroughly and impartially. The BJP and the Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami are committed to the dignity and safety of women in this state, and sincere efforts are being made to ensure that such incidents should not happen in future and the criminals should be punished severely.
