Some Muslim men who were arrested after throwing stones at a Navratri Garba event were tied to a pole and thrashed with canes. The crowd can also be seen cheering in the video. The report said that the accused were asked to apologize to the public. The police inspector in-charge of the area was also present there.
NDTV could not independently verify the video. On Twitter, people questioned the police’s ‘kangaroo justice’ in response to the video, while many were defending the ‘quick fix’.
