Senior media in-charge of Uttarakhand Congress Committee, Rajiv Mehrishi has congratulated Mallikarjun Kharge on being elected as the National President of Congress. Along with this, Maharishi has also expressed gratitude to Sonia Gandhi that under her leadership, the fair election of Congress President was held in a transparent manner, this is a revolutionary change in the country. In other parties, where there is a tradition of only nomination, the Congress has shown the mirror to other parties by taking a bold step by conducting elections for the post of President. Maharishi said that only the Gandhi family can show this courage that the leader of any party should contest the election of the President, whereas in any other party this system is not visible even remotely.

The Congress media in-charge said that under the leadership of Mr. Kharge and the guidance of Sonia Gandhi, the Congress party would emerge strong and the divisive tendencies and communalism that were facing the country would be firmly fought. Maharishi expressed confidence that the Congress would not only do better in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections but would also write a new chapter of change in the country’s politics. He reiterated that the people are suffering due to skyrocketing inflation, unemployment and BJP’s misrule and Congress is in a position to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people.
