The matter is being told six months old. According to the police, accused Aftab Amin Poonawalla strangled his live-in partner Shraddha Walker to death on May 18. Then he cut her body into 35 pieces. He kept the body pieces in the fridge and for the next 18 days he used to leave the house at around 2 o’clock every night and kept the pieces at various places around Delhi.
Love story started after meeting in call center
According to the information, the victim Shraddha used to work in a call center in Mumbai, where she met accused Aftab Amin Poonawalla. After meeting, the two started dating and later started living in live-in. Shraddha’s family did not approve of their relationship, so they moved from Mumbai to Delhi and started living together in a flat in Mehrauli here.

The incident came to light when the victim’s father started searching for his daughter. It is being said that when Shraddha’s father used to call her, her phone was not received. After this he came to Delhi to see his daughter. Somehow gathering information, they reached the daughter’s flat. Here he saw the lock. After this they reached the Mehrauli police and on 8 November lodged a complaint of kidnapping of the daughter.
On the basis of the complaint, the police arrested the accused Aftab Poonawala on Saturday. At first during interrogation, the accused kept misleading the police, but when he was strictly questioned, he disclosed the whole matter. He narrated the entire story to the police from the murder to the disposal of the body parts. He told the police that Shraddha used to pressure him to marry, so he strangled her to death. At present, the police have registered a case of murder and started searching for the pieces of Shraddha’s body.
