General Qamar Bajwa’s family wealth figures misleading: Pakistan Army

Releasing the data related to the assets of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his family, ISPR, the Information Department of Pakistan’s army, said in a statement that the data released on social media in this regard is misleading.
ISPR has said in the statement that “Misleading figures were presented on social media regarding the assets of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and his family. These misleading figures were presented on the basis of assumptions.
The statement said, “A certain gang has cleverly and maliciously linked the properties of General Bajwa’s daughter-in-law’s father (Samdhi) and his family with General Bajwa.”
The ISPR has said in its statement that it is being claimed that General Bajwa’s brother-in-law has collected these assets during his six-year tenure.
The ISPR has said that it “is completely contrary to facts and based on blatant lies and malice. Every asset of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, his wife and family is duly declared in the FBR.”
The army has said in a statement that the army chief and his family pay their entire tax and like every citizen of the country, they too are answerable to the tax authority.
