Nora Fatehi files defamation case against Jacqueline Fernandez

Two Bollywood actresses have come face to face in the Money Laundering Case related to Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Nora Fatehi has filed a defamation case against actress Jacqueline Fernandez and about 15 media companies in Delhi Court. Nora Fatehi said in her plea, “Jacqueline Fernandez has tried to criminally defame the complainant to further her interests, as they both are working in the same industry and have similar backgrounds.”

Both Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi were questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the money laundering case registered against conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Nora Fatehi alleges that her name has been forcibly used in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving gangster Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The actress says that she had no direct contact with Sukesh. She knew Sukesh through Sukesh’s wife Leena Maria Paul.

Did Nora really take luxury gifts from Sukesh?
Nora Fatehi has also rejected the claims of taking gifts from Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The actress says that her reputation has been hurt due to the media trial. It was said that Sukesh had gifted a BMW car worth 65 lakhs to Nora Fatehi’s brother-in-law Bobby. It was revealed in the investigation that Sukesh had definitely offered the BMW car. But the actress refused to take this car. Nora was suspicious of this deal from the beginning. Sukesh was continuously calling Nora. After which Nora blocked Sukesh’s number.

Gucci’s bag was gifted by Sukesh’s wife
Nora had told the ED in the investigation that she had met Sukesh’s wife Leena at an event. Leena gives Nora a Gucci bag and an iPhone. Leena told Nora that her husband Sukesh is a fan of the actress. Leena got Sukesh and Nora talking on the phone. Where Sukesh talked about being a fan of Nora. Then Leena told that Sukesh is going to give BMW to Nora as a token.

What were the allegations made by Jacqueline Fernandes?
Jacqueline Fernandez had earlier categorically stated in a petition before the Appellate Authority of the Money Laundering Act or PMLA that it was surprising that like her some other celebrities, especially Nora Fatehi, were duped by Sukesh Chandrasekhar in the case, Nora Fatehi and other celebrities who took gifts from Sukesh Chandrasekhar have been made witnesses, while they are being dragged to the court as an accused.
