The BJP has welcomed the cabinet decision of the state government to develop Mahasu Devta Temple and Jageshwar Dham by making a master plan like Shri Badri Kedar Dham. Expressing gratitude to CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, party state president Mahendra Bhatt described it as an important step for religious tourism and regional development.
In his statement, Mahendra Bhatt described all the decisions of the cabinet taken today under the leadership of Chief Minister Dhami as important in the development of the state. He said that now implementing the master plan for the famous Jageshwar Dham of Kumaon and Mahasu Devta Temple of Chakrata on the lines of the master plan of Badrinath Dham will prove to be a milestone in the path of development of the respective areas. He hoped that this would lead to unprecedented development of tourism facilities in both the famous Dhams, which would increase the number of tourists coming here. This step of the government will prove to take local employment and economy to new heights. Along with this, the new hydro power policy on the lines of Himachal Pradesh and the approval of the logistics policy for industries with the aim of setting up large warehouses in the state, increasing the permit tax from 50 to 75 percent, while giving relief to buses in the mountains, in the state. He welcomed all the decisions of the cabinet, including making 20 ITIs model ITIs on the lines of Karnataka, permission to spend Rs 10 crore on each model ITI, 100 percent exemption in motor vehicle tax on city bus as public welfare.
