Uttarakhand: CM Dhami felicitated teachers, ‘National Education Policy is doing all round development of students’

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami (CM Pushkar Singh Dhami) participated in the International Conference of Principals and Teachers (International Conference of Principals and Teachers) program organized by the Principals Progressive Schools Association at Pestel Weed School, Mussoorie Road, Dehradun on Tuesday. He also honored the teachers on this occasion. The Chief Minister said that teachers have an important role in building the society. After parents, teachers have an important responsibility to shape the future of the children. Teachers are like sages of the era, who work continuously to make the society enlightened. The Chief Minister said that the main objective of the ancient Indian education system has been to enable the students to know and understand themselves through introspection. Self-interview is very important for the student, only then the talent can be put to good use. He said that commendable work is being done by PPSA to bring out the talents of the students. PPSA is providing an ideal environment for exchange of ideas through open and constructive discussions on technology, skills and school curriculum. PPSA has also extended its cooperation to the government from time to time in increasing cooperation between public schools and government schools to provide quality education in the state.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that today India is making rapid progress in every field under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India’s respect, honor and self-respect has increased at the global level. India is introducing its capability to the world in every field. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, India is re-establishing itself as a Vishwaguru and guiding the world. With his far-reaching thinking, the country has got a new National Education Policy after 34 years. Through the National Education Policy, attention is being given towards the overall development of the students. PPSA has been presenting important suggestions from time to time to the central and state governments to implement the new education policy properly in order to illuminate the lives of the students with the light of progress.

Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat said that a two-day conference is being organized with the aim of proper implementation of the National Education Policy in the state. In this, the principals and teachers will be informed by the experts about various aspects for the successful implementation of the new education policy. He said that Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement the National Education Policy 2020.

The National Education Policy was launched from Bal Vatikas in Uttarakhand. In higher education also, the National Education Policy has been implemented in the state. According to the National Education Policy, arrangements have been made for training of all the teachers of the state through DIET for educational activities. So far more than 27 thousand teachers have been trained.
