Petrol in Delhi, Kolkata crosses Rs 93

Petrol and diesel prices were increased again after two days today, due to which petrol reached close to Rs 100 per liter in Mumbai, while crossing Rs 93 per liter in Delhi and Kolkata.

According to the website of leading oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, in the four major metros of the country today, the price of petrol has gone up to 19 paise and the price of diesel by 30 paise has reached a new record level.

Petrol in the national capital Delhi was up by 19 paise to Rs 93.04 per liter and diesel by 29 paise to Rs 83.80 per liter. Since last May 04, petrol and diesel prices have been increased for 11 days, while seven days have remained stable. During this time, petrol in Delhi has become expensive by Rs 2.64 and diesel by 3.07 rupees.
In Mumbai, petrol became costlier by 18 paise to Rs 99.32, in Chennai it was 17 paise by Rs 94.71 and in Kolkata by 19 paise, it was sold at Rs 93.11.
The price of diesel increased by 30 paise, 28 paise and 29 paise respectively in Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. One liter diesel sold for Rs 91.01 in Mumbai, Rs 88.62 in Chennai and Rs 86.64 in Kolkata.

The prices of petrol and diesel are reviewed daily and based on this, new prices are applied every day from six o’clock in the morning.
