Uttarakhand : AAP raises questions on RBS Rawat, advisor to CM Tirath, says these things
The Aam Aadmi Party has questioned the appointment of retired IFS RBS Rawat as advisor to the Chief Minister. According to the AAP, there was a Gram Panchayat Development Officer recruitment scam when Rawat was the UKSSC President, the investigation of the case has not been completed yet. Therefore, it is not right to give them significant responsibility till the investigation is pending. According to AAP spokesperson Sanjay Bhatt, Rawat had to resign from his post after the recruitment scam surfaced in 2016. The investigation of this case has not been completed yet.
According to Bhatt, when the recruitment scam surfaced, the BJP had fiercely surrounded the then Congress government, today the same BJP has placed such an officer in such a big post, without ending the investigation. The AAP spokesperson said that, RBS Rawat being the Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister may influence vigilance investigation. According to Bhatt, a preliminary inquiry into the case had proven intentional tampering in the answerbook of the candidates. As a result, two dozen youths from one village had to retire after allegations of success. He has raised the demand for the immediate release of Rawat.
