Mumbai : Two drug peddlers arrested, including a 75-year-old woman with a crore of charas
Mumbai Crime Branch has been a big success. Mumbai Crime Branch Unit-7 has arrested two drug peddlers, including a 75-year-old woman, from Bandra area of Mumbai on Saturday evening. Not only this, they have also recovered charas worth more than one crore rupees. 3 kg 800 gram Manali Charas has been recovered from the drug peddler. The value of the material caught is 1 crore 18 lakhs, 80 thousand rupees. Police told about this on Sunday.
An officer told that an officer of Mumbai Crime Branch Unit-7 had received a secret information that a 55-year-old man is going to sell charas near Sane Guruji Sevamandal, Water Field Road, Chinchwadi, west of Bandra. After which the officers of the crime branch laid a trap and caught the accused. The police have recovered 7 shells of charas from the accused.
When the accused was questioned from where he had brought the charas and who was going to sell it, the accused told that he had taken it from a woman. After which the Crime Branch officials raided the house of a 75-year-old woman and recovered 3 kg 800 gram Manali charas from her house. Both drug peddlers were produced in the court on Sunday, after which the court sent them both to the custody of the crime branch till May 27.
