Tough competition against Qatar : Stimac
The head coach of the Indian football team, Igor Stimac, has said that the 2023 Asia Cup qualifiers against Qatar is a tough match. Stimac said in the pre-press conference, “We are constantly working hard to achieve success against good teams. Tomorrow’s match is going to be very tough for us.
India played a goalless draw against Qatar in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Doha in 2019. “We are proud of the result we achieved in the last match against Qatar,” Stimac said. This came as a big surprise to the whole world. But that was a different situation, he said. Thousands of supporters were present as we arrived in Doha, which gave us energy. But Qatar team is good and best team in Asia.
Stimac said, “Everyone knows what this means for Indian football. All players understand the importance of captain Sunil Chhetri being in the team. Apart from Qatar, India has to play against Bangladesh on June 7 and with Afghanistan on June 15.
