Negligence in the security of our embassy in Pakistan, India protested
The Indian High Commission in the capital Islamabad is facing a big threat. There is also a lot of negligence on the part of the Pakistan government in the security system. India has registered its protest over Pakistan’s lax attitude towards the security arrangements of the High Commission. The Indian government has recently asked Pakistan to investigate an alleged security breach outside the Indian High Commission. In the last week of May, some strange activities were seen in the High Security Zone (Diplomatic Enclave) outside the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. A car stopped in an area restricted to people outside the Indian High Commission. Out of this, people were seen unloading boxes of Kovid-19 relief material including PPE kits. One of them even clicked pictures while standing with the box. The Indian High Commission was in the background of these pictures. Please note that photography is prohibited where the pictures were clicked. Taking this incident very seriously, Indian officials have asked Pakistan for an official investigation. However, the motive behind that incident is not yet known. Even an ordinary Pakistani citizen needs special permission to enter the High Commission.
Pakistan had offered help amidst the second wave of Corona epidemic in India. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry had said that we are ready to send certain materials used in the war against Corona in the spirit of solidarity with the people of India in view of the current wave of Kovid-19.
