Maximum rate of corona vaccine fixed for private hospitals, CoviShield 780, Covaxin 1410, Sputnik V will be available for Rs 1145
The central government has fixed the maximum rates of corona vaccine for private hospitals. The cost of CoviShield will be Rs 780 (cost of 600 vaccines + 5% GST + service charge of Rs 150) per dose. The cost of Covaxin will be Rs 1410 per dose. Sputnik-V will cost Rs 1145 per dose for private hospitals.
Along with setting the rate of the vaccine, it will be monitored everyday. Strict action will be taken against the private COVID Vaccination Center for charging higher rates. The Center has asked the states not to charge private hospitals more than Rs 150 for the service charge. These are to be monitored by the state governments.
The Health Ministry of the Central Government, while fixing the maximum rate of the vaccine, has sent a memorandum to all the states and union territories about it.
