Ajay Puri appointed as the President of COAI

Indian Airtel’s India and South Asia Chief Operating Officer Ajay Puri has been elected as the President of COAI, an organization representing telecom, internet, technology and digital services companies, for the current fiscal. The selection has been made in the Annual General Meeting of COAI. Along with this, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited President Pramod Kumar Mittal has become the Vice President of the organization.
Mr. Puri has been with Bharti Airtel since 2004 and has held several leadership positions including Director – Market Operations and Director & CEO – DTH. Prior to joining Bharti Airtel, Mr. Puri worked at Cargill Foods India as Business Head – Foods. He started his career with VST India Limited, a subsidiary of British American Tobacco (UK).

Mr. Mittal has a rich experience of 42 years in the Telecommunications Industry. Mr. Mittal worked in the telecom department for 37 years before becoming the chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, India’s largest telecom operator.
