Television actress Avika Gaur says she does not agree with the situation that beauty creams have created over time that fairness means beauty.

Avika has made her mark with shows like ‘Balika Vadhu’, ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ and ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. She did not accept the deal for three fairness cream brands. She says that society cannot make idols of any one colour.
Avika said, “The situation that beauty creams have created over a period of time suggests that fairness equals beauty and success and it gives us confidence. However, this is not true at all. Our confidence comes from our work ethic and knowledge.

Avika further said, we as a society cannot make idols of one colour. There should be some change in this trend. I am blessed that I don’t have to worry about not getting money. Such things have a bad effect on the society. So, I refused to work in those ads.
Avika was recently seen in the song video Dil Ko Mere, which released on 17 May.
