Du Plessis ruled out of remaining PSL season due to concussion

South Africa’s Faf du Plessis has been ruled out of the current remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season due to a concussion. Du Plessis suffered a concussion during Chetta Gladiators’ match against Peshawar Zalmi. He will return to South Africa last night.
Du Plessis collided sharply with his teammate Mohammad Hasnain while trying to block his own country’s David Miller’s shot. Hasnain tried to avoid du Plessis at the last minute but he could not get out of the way and du Plessis’s head hit his knee.

Du Plessis then lay on the ground for a few minutes while the Gladiators physio saw him on the field but had to get up and go back to the team dugout. The Gladiators team management then informed that Du Plessis was taken to the hospital. He did not return to bat and was replaced by Sam Ayub. Du Plessis later tweeted that he had suffered a concussion and was forgetting something.
