No employee will be removed from schools, anganwadis in Andhra: CM Reddy

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy assured that not a single employee will be removed from schools and Anganwadi centers in the state in the process of implementing the New Education Policy (NEP).
He also assured that no Anganwadi center will be closed and clarified that the changes in the education system are being implemented keeping these two factors in mind.

Reddy directed the officials to establish two types of schools. The first grade with preparatory classes 1 and 2 should be within a distance of one kilometer from the students. Other schools from class 3 to class 10 should be located within a distance of 3 km from the students.

According to the Chief Minister, it is necessary to keep the teacher-student ratio balanced in the foundation course, as the mental development of children below eight years of age is essential.

The Chief Minister said that the government aims to provide quality education, and called for aligning the state’s education policy with that of the NEP.
