Uttarakhand : MLA’s challan deducted for not wearing mask, inspector transferred

On Wednesday, Roorkee MLA Pradeep Batra met DGP Ashok Kumar and complained about the police challan for not wearing a mask in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. After this, the DGP handed over the investigation of the case to SP City Sarita Doval, Dehradun. Along with this, many policemen including the inspector have been transferred.
Actually, BJP MLA from Roorkee Pradeep Batra had come to visit Mussoorie with his family. Sub Inspector Neeraj Kathait posted in Mussoorie Kotwali had cut the MLA’s challan for not wearing a mask here. A video of this entire incident had surfaced, in which MLAs were throwing 500 rupees of challan and arguing.
MLA Pradeep Batra said in a meeting with Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar that in this case only a part of the video is being shown, only the part related to throwing the note or arguing is being shown, while the beginning of the debate and the comments of the inspector are being shown. According to MLA Pradeep Batra, even if he was wrong, the inspector did not have the right to call him Mr. according to the protocol. Also, the inspector is openly speaking in this matter, which is wrong. According to the MLA, the policemen were abusing the tourists there, when they intervened, the policemen started challaning them on the contrary.
MLA Pradeep Batra has also talked about returning his 500 rupees from the government treasury. In this case, the police station of Inspector Neeraj Kathait has been transferred to Kalsi, which comes in the countryside area of Dehradun district itself. By the way, not only this inspector but more than 100 policemen and other policemen who have been in the same police station since 3 years ago have been transferred.
