Women’s hockey team will do well in Tokyo Olympics: Ningombam

Congratulating the Indian women’s hockey team for the Olympics, Hockey India President Gyanendra Ningombam has expressed hope for a tough competition from other teams in the Olympics. “Over the years till this edition of the Olympics, the women’s team has worked very hard to regain its present form,” she said in a statement here. Meanwhile, Manipur Hockey Secretary General Seram Neken has expressed happiness over the selection of Manipur hockey player Sushila Chanu Pukhrambam (Midfielder) for the National Women’s Hockey Team for the Olympic Games 2020. Manipur Hockey has congratulated all the players of the team and wished them the best of performance in their international events.

It is noteworthy that Hockey India has announced the 16-member Indian women’s hockey team today as it reaches the final stage of preparations for the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020.
