Expert group related to fixation of minimum wages and minimum wages at the national level will give its report soon

The Central Government has constituted an expert group under the chairmanship of eminent economist Professor Ajit Mishra, which will give technical information and recommendations to the government regarding the fixation of minimum wages and minimum wages at the national level. The tenure of this expert group is three years. It has come to notice that some sections of the press and some stakeholders have seen this move as an attempt by the government to delay the fixation of minimum wages and minimum wages at the national level.

It is clarified here that the Government has no such intention and the Expert Group will submit its recommendations to the Government at the earliest.
