Instructions given to make concrete arrangements in the likely flood affected areas

Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker Premchand Agrawal, during a meeting with Dehradun District Magistrate Ashish Srivastava, directed to make elaborate arrangements in the flood-affected areas in view of the monsoon in Rishikesh assembly constituency, while reviewing various issues related to the area. During the meeting, the Speaker said that there should be full focus on flood protection in all other areas including Gauhari Mafi, Sahabnagar, Chakjogiwala, Khadri, Thakurpur, Shyampur, Haripurkalan,

Chandeshwarnagar in the flood affected areas under Rishikesh assembly constituency. Mr. Aggarwal asked the District Magistrate that the officers of the Irrigation Department should be instructed to be alert and be prepared in advance for safety and rescue operations in the likely flood-affected areas. Mr. Aggarwal said that intensive visits to the flood affected areas were done by the officers. It is necessary to go and keep a watchful eye on the situation so that relief and rescue work can be conducted quickly in the event of flood. In view of the wave, all the necessary preparations were also discussed. The Speaker also inquired about the corona vaccination and talked about opening more vaccination centers in rural and urban areas of Rishikesh assembly constituency. Shri Aggarwal said that with the opening of more vaccination centers for the youth between 18 years and 44 years, it will be easier for the people to get vaccinated. On this occasion, the Speaker also took information from the District Magistrate on the subject related to the ration being given to the ration card holders under the State Food Scheme in view of the Corona epidemic. Shri Agrawal instructed the District Magistrate to ensure that the ration card holders could get the ration on time.
