Uttar Pradesh : Task force meeting on preparedness for communicable disease control
Lucknow : The Dastak campaign will be run from July 1 to 31 for the control of special communicable diseases in the district. For the preparation of the campaign, a meeting of the District Task Force was held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Abhishek Prakash in the District Magistrate’s office on Monday, Chikungunya, Japanese Encephalitis and AES were discussed in the meeting. The District Magistrate said that effective control of communicable diseases and encephalitis and quick and accurate Treatment is in the priority of the government, in the year 2020, special communicable disease control and knockout campaigns have been run in all the districts in March, July and October. In the Dastak campaign held in July and October and March, frontline workers went door-to-door to inform about the prevention and symptoms of this disease along with communicable diseases. Dastak campaign will also be run in the district from July 12 to 25. The District Magistrate said that special cleanliness drive will be run from June 25 to July 10 for cleaning all such places, including reservoirs, in the entire district. During the special communicable disease control campaign, patients with symptoms like fever, cough and cold will be examined by the Rapid Response Team. Medicine kits will be provided to the children up to 18 years by the monitoring committee, the District Magistrate contacted the Municipal Corporation to get sanitization, put Gumbujia fish in the ponds, instructed the Animal Husbandry Department to get the Sukarbaras away from the population, along with this big hot spots Special attention should be paid to areas Faizullaganj, Gomti Nagar, Indira Nagar and Triveni Nagar, the District Magistrate said that the Health Department is the nodal for this campaign and the entire campaign will be run following the COVID protocol. A review meeting of the campaign will be organized on every Saturday in which all the departments will bring their weekly report. Urban Development Department will provide clean drinking water, cleanliness, prevention of mosquitoes, free from open defecation and drains in the urban area. The Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Department will make efforts for public awareness, provision of pure drinking water, vector control and environmental cleanliness. On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Ashwini Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Ajay Dwivedi, Additional Director Dr. (Major) GS Bajpai, all Additional Chief Medical Officers, District Health Education and Information Officer, District Malaria Officer, Medical Superintendent of all CHCs, Block Level Officers. Representatives of departments including World Health Organisation, UNICEF, PATH, Family Health India, Godrej Embed, Tata Trust and Plan India were present on the occasion.
