High Court reprimands Uttarakhand government over deaths from Corona

Deaths from Corona in Uttarakhand happened due to negligence of the government. People died because of the incomplete preparations of the government. Now the Delta Plus variant is under threat. It won’t take even three months to spread. So what are you doing to save our children? Is the government still thinking that Delta Plus will attack after the preparations are over? This stern remark was made by a division bench of Chief Justice RS Chauhan and Justice Alok Kumar Verma on Wednesday. The court was hearing public interest litigations filed against the state’s poor health systems and starting the Chardham Yatra. During the hearing on Wednesday, the state government presented a 700-page affidavit in the court. Chief Secretary Om Prakash, Health Secretary Amit Negi and Tourism Secretary Dr Ashish Chauhan appeared through video conferencing. The court has found the affidavit submitted by the government to be misleading and misleading the court. The court reprimanded the government and said that the government did not comply with the rules of Kovid. Recently, on Ganga Dussehra, thousands of people took a bath in Harki Paidi, but the government was absent. The court said that this is evidence of half-incomplete arrangements of the government. The court has again summoned the government’s reply on various points from July 7 and asked the Chief Secretary and the Health Secretary to be present along with the affidavit.

Postpone the Chardham Yatra or extend the date: The court has given directions to postpone or extend the date of Chardham Yatra. In this matter, before June 28, the cabinet meeting has been asked to take a decision. The court has said that on the 28th, Chief Secretary and Additional Secretary Tourism Ashish Chauhan will appear in the court and will tell about the decision taken by the cabinet regarding the Chardham Yatra. Also include this in the detailed statement of the affidavit on July 7.

Most of the deaths reported due to heart failure except Corona: The court said that the death audit completion is vague and confusing, as most of the deaths in it are attributed to heart failure. How many people died in the second wave only due to Kovid-19 was not told and also irrational facts have been presented by the Health Secretary in the entire affidavit. The court said that while conducting the audit of the death, it violated the earlier order of the court. The government did not count the deaths relative to the death certificates issued by the bodies, so the veracity of the death audit conducted by the government cannot be accepted by the court.

Will you leave the children to die?: The High Court said that you have 10 ventilators for children to fight the third wave in Dehradun. The court said that if 80 children become critical, will 70 children be left to die? On the question of the court stating that nine out of 11 ventilators in Rudraprayag were defective, the Health Secretary said that only district hospitals have been given the details of the order of the court, whereas we have ventilators in medical colleges and private hospitals and ICU’s. There are arrangements. The court said, who has stopped you from giving information.
