Himachal Pradesh / Solan : Foundation stone of modern hospital, maternal and child hospital and trauma center in Solan to be laid in July: Dr. Saijal

Health and Family Welfare and AYUSH Minister Dr. Rajeev Saizal said that the State Government is working towards providing high quality health services to all and for this purpose, the foundation stone of modern hospital, mother and child hospital and trauma center would be laid in Solan in July. Dr. Saijal was presiding over the meeting organized in this regard here today.

Dr. Saijal said that about 79 bighas of land has been identified for the construction of state-of-the-art hospital, mother and child hospital and trauma center in Solan. He said that after the foundation stone, the construction work of the hospital would be completed within the stipulated time frame. When built, this hospital will prove to be very important for tourists including residents of Solan, Shimla and Sirmaur. He said that Rs 10 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of the first phase of the hospital.

The Health Minister said that the necessary formalities for the construction of this hospital have been completed. It will be ensured that the hospital is built within the stipulated time so that the people get its due benefit. He said that the hospital established in the middle of Solan city would continue to function as before.
Dr. Saijal directed the Health and Family Welfare and Public Works Department to work in coordination with each other for quality and time bound construction of the hospital.
He said that the State Government was upgrading various health facilities at all levels so that people could get good health services at the regional level itself. The basic health services are being strengthened by the state government in all the districts amid the corona infection and the supply of essential life-saving medicines including oxygen supply has been ensured. He said that a large-scale oxygen plant has been set up at the Regional Hospital Solan to help the Kovid-19 patients. In this plant, life-giving oxygen will be produced at the rate of 1000 liters per minute. 06 ventilators have been installed in the Kovid Special ICU ward at Regional Hospital Solan. X-ray plant has also been started in the hospital.
The AYUSH Minister said that the ‘AYUSH Ghar Dwar’ program launched to provide complete health to the Kovid patients is setting new steps for success.

Dr. Saijal directed the Chief Medical Officer, Solan, to expedite the vaccination work of all sections to protect against Kovid-19 so that no one misses the vaccination.
On this occasion, he reviewed the developmental works of the district including Shamti bypass and directed to complete the various construction works at the earliest.
On this occasion former Transport Minister M.N. Sofat and state BJP executive member Dr. Rajesh Kashyap gave valuable suggestions regarding the construction of the hospital.
Dr. Thereafter, Saijal inspected the land identified for hospital, mother and child hospital and trauma center with modern technology and issued necessary instructions.
He also listened to the public problems on this occasion and issued instructions for their redressal.
