Nadda reviews election preparations with senior ministers

BJP President JP Nadda held a marathon meeting with senior ministers of the Modi government at the party headquarters today. The meeting reviewed the preparations for the assembly elections to be held in five states including Uttar Pradesh early next year. Many other ministers including focused ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, Smriti Irani, Piyush Goyal, Mansukh Mandaviya, Hardeep Puri, Kiren Rijiju participated in this meeting. This was followed by a meeting with Nadda’s party general secretaries and vice-presidents.

According to party sources, all the five states were reviewed separately in this meeting. During this, Nadda apprised the ministers about the election preparations of these states. After this, different election strategies for these states were discussed. The Seva Hi Sangathan campaign started after the second wave of Corona was also discussed in the meeting.

Ministers will be on duty from next month

In the election states, BJP will impose the duties of ministers from the month of July. Senior ministers will have to travel every month to all the five states. This was also discussed mainly in the meeting. Sources said that a list to this effect will be prepared soon. In this, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah will mainly focus on UP. Shah will travel to different districts from next month. Like Shah, other ministers will also have to migrate to different districts of the electoral states. This process will continue till the elections are over.

Big challenge for assembly elections

In the states where elections are to be held early next year in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur and Punjab, the BJP is in power in three states. The party is involved in the government in Manipur. While there is a Congress government in Punjab. The main concern of the party is Uttar Pradesh. PM Modi has held several meetings with Nadda and Shah on the election preparations of this state.
