Uttarakhand / Tehri : MP gave instructions to the departments to carry out the construction works with quality

The meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) was held under the chairmanship of MP Garhwal Malarajya Laxmi Shah through VC. In the meeting, the MP directed the departments to execute the construction works with quality. The progress report was asked to be presented in the next meeting. In the meeting of Disha held on March 1, the MP expressed satisfaction over the action taken by the concerned departments on the matters raised by the members of the committee regarding various schemes. District Panchayat President raised the issue of making online drinking water and missing ration cards of Akhodi village in Ghansali. On which the MP has directed the concerned departments to take action on priority basis. On the complaints placed by the members of the committee regarding the schemes of various departments, the MP directed all the concerned officers to dispose of the complaints on priority and submit the progress report in the next meeting. In the meeting, the Superintending Engineer Jal Nigam informed that against the target of giving total 69482 domestic water connections under the National Rural Drinking Water Program (Jal Jeevan Mission), 44839 connections were established till March 31, 2021. Whereas 24643 is the combination residue. A target has been set to provide 14786 water connections in the year 2021-22. Out of the balance of last year and the target of current financial year, 546 connections have been established so far. On the other hand, Jal Sansthan said that 61 percent work of Jal Jeevan Mission has been completed. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, a target has been set to connect 10 habitations by constructing 280 km of road this year. While 14 new works have been approved. At the same time, the work of Phase-1 was said to be completed by the year 2022. The MP directed the officials of PMGSY that along with timely completion of construction works, special attention should be paid to quality. The Child Development Officer said that out of 4852, 3756 were benefitted under the Gaura Devi scheme. While 1096 remains. Those who are targeted to be benefited this year. Review of schemes run under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Drinking Water Corporation, Jal Sansthan, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana, Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana, National Health Mission, Supply Department, Forest Department, Horticulture, Child Development Department Did it too. DM Eva Srivastava directed all the concerned officers to strictly follow the instructions given by the MP in the meeting of the committee and submit the progress report in the next meeting. CDO Namami Bansal, Project Director DRDA Anand Bhakuni, DDO Sunil Kumar, ACMO Dr LD Semwal, CAO JP Tiwari, Block Chief Jakhanidhar Sunita Devi, Abrar Ahmed etc. were present in the meeting.
