England sweep Sri Lanka 3-0

England thrashed Sri Lanka by 89 runs in the third and final T20I to clear Sri Lanka 3-0 in the three-match series. England scored a mammoth 180 for six in 20 overs on the back of a 105-run opening partnership between openers Jani Bairstow and David Malan. Bairstow scored 51 runs off 43 balls with the help of five fours and a six, while Malan played an explosive innings of 78 runs in just 48 balls with the help of five fours and four sixes.

In reply, Sri Lanka were bundled out for just 91 runs in 18.5 overs. Binura Fernando, the number nine batsman for Sri Lanka, scored the highest 20 runs. For England, David Willey took three wickets for 27 runs and Sam Karen took two wickets for 14 runs. Malan got the Player of the Match and Karen got the Player of the Series award.
