Uttarakhand : CM inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 24 development works worth 10909.25 lakhs in Kathgodam Circuit House

Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat inaugurated 24 development works worth 10909.25 lakh at Circuit House Kathgodam and laid the foundation stone amidst Vedic chants. In the development works, 04 schemes worth 1139.46 lakh were inaugurated and 20 schemes worth 9769.79 lakh were laid. After this, in the Circuit House auditorium, Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat reviewed the developmental works as well as preparedness for the disaster. The Chief Minister directed the officers to make regular visits to the disaster-sensitive areas during the monsoon period and open the closed roads in less time and take immediate relief and rescue operations in case of any kind of calamity. He said that the sensitive areas should be identified from the point of view of disaster and JCB should be deployed in advance to smooth the traffic on those roads where there is a possibility of breaking or submerging the roads so that the general public does not face any problem in the traffic. . He directed the officers of the Department of Drinking Water and Electricity to store equipment or materials in remote and rural areas from now on to keep electricity and drinking water running during monsoon so that it can be repaired immediately in case of interruption of electricity and drinking water during monsoon. He directed the officers of the Irrigation Department to keep a close watch on the water level of rivers and barrages during the rainy season and issue warnings from time to time on the rise in water level of rivers by activating flood posts so that loss of life and property can be prevented. Can you On which District Magistrate Dhiraj Singh Garbyal said that 17 flood posts have been activated in the district, in which 24 hours personnel have been deployed and regular warnings are also being given when the water level of rivers rises. The District Magistrate informed that more and more COVID testing and vaccination is being done by making roster in the city and rural areas. According to the availability of vaccine, regular vaccination centers are being increased. COVID vaccine is being administered to more than 15 thousand people every day in the district. Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat while reviewing the works of COVID directed that all preparations should be made from now on for the third wave of COVID. He directed the officers to ensure all arrangements in the children’s wards in the hospitals and arrangements for oxygen, ventilator, medicines etc. should be ensured. He said that all CHCs, PHCs should be developed as COVID care centers by ensuring arrangements related to COVID so that COVID patients can get immediate treatment in their area. Along with increasing the COVID test in urban and rural areas, the Chief Minister directed to get all the people vaccinated while making the public aware. He said that the elderly and handicapped should be vaccinated at their homes. On which the Chief Medical Officer Dr. Bhagirathi Joshi informed that by making block wise, village wise roster in the district, COVID investigation and vaccination is being done. He told that we are ready to fight the third COVID wave. We have enough oxygen and oxygen cylinders in all the hospitals. Adequate oxygen cylinders and COVID medicine kits have been kept in each CHC, PHC. He said that there are 12 government pediatric doctors in the district and 17 pediatric doctors in private. We have 15 government ambulances and 23 ambulances of 108 are working. Urban Development and Civil Supplies Minister Banshidhar Bhagat instructed the Chief Medical Officer to make X-ray machines in Kotabagh at the earliest. Regional MP Ajay Bhat gave instructions to expedite the COVID vaccination and also requested the Chief Minister to release the remaining funds of the 50-bed Ayurvedic hospital in Haldwani. Mayor Dr. Jogender Pal Singh Rautela requested to open cath lab in STH and Mayor also requested to transfer Haldwani road from Teenpani to Kathgodam from NH to LNV. MLA Sanjeev Arya has recently done asphaltization of National Highway from Kathgodam to Nainital by NH which has been uprooted due to poor quality. Expressing displeasure, the Chief Minister directed the District Magistrate to conduct an inquiry into the matter. On which Commissioner Arvind Singh Hyanki said that continuous meetings are being held with the villagers and land has been marked in Sitarganj Jail Complex of Udham Singh Nagar to displace the families coming in the submergence area. Due to water logging in the said land, it has expressed dissatisfaction with taking land there. Continuous talks are being held with the residents and the land is being searched. The Chief Minister was felicitated by the journalists by presenting them with bouquets and clothes. Inaugurated schemes costing Rs 650.10 lakh. Similarly, new construction of Pandey village Bhankar motorway 71.20 lakh, Sanatorium Bhavali’s Red Cross building, Creation building, female ward, block five building, new surgical ward and female ward, block eight, 367.11 lakh for setting up 76 beds, oxygen in joint hospital Ramnagar.
