During the briefing of the development works, the President suggested to the commissioner that the traffic reforms in Kanpur should be worked out intensively. No city dweller should face difficulties by getting stuck in traffic. Apart from this, KDA make better use of their lands. After the acquisition of the land, the development projects should be started immediately. Delay leads to possession of land and legal troubles have to be faced.
Rs 50 crore fund spent on traffic improvement
The commissioner informed the President that work is being done on important projects like Ring Road to decongest the traffic of the city. Under Smart City, a fund of Rs 50 crore will be spent on traffic improvement in the financial year 2021.22.
