Police have arrested 12 people, including five women, after busting a sex racket allegedly being operated from two guest houses in Govardhan area of ​​Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district. Two owners of the guest house are also among those arrested during the raid late last night.

Govardhan Station House Officer (SHO) Pradeep Kumar said, based on inputs received from reliable sources, the raids were conducted at Shri Krishna Seva Sadan and Pawan Dham Guest House.

He said that during the raids, five women and five men were found in compromising position.

Kumar said some objectionable material, including pornography, was also recovered from the guest house.

Two of the arrested women are from Mathura and the remaining three are from outside the district.

Police said efforts are on to trace more people allegedly involved in the racket.
He said that it is also being probed whether women have had such involvement in the past.
Police said CCTV footage and fingerprints have also been collected from the spot.
The 12 arrested people have been booked under the provisions of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.

He was arrested and sent to judicial custody after being produced before a magistrate.
