On the call of All India Motor Transport Congress, transport businessmen celebrated Black Day on Monday. He expressed his displeasure over the rising inflation and not getting relief to the transport businessmen. The protesters sent a memorandum to the PM raising many demands including providing relief to the transport businessmen, increasing the fare, reducing the price of diesel. On Monday, on the call of All India Motor Transport Congress, members of transport organizations demonstrated in Kali Bandhi Dam Rishikesh Tehsil. Uttarakhand Transport Federation Vice President Balvir Singh Rautela said that due to the continuous increase in the prices of petrol and diesel by the Central Government, it has become difficult for the vehicle owners to drive the vehicle. Inflation is also at its peak due to diesel price hike. The central government should devalue diesel by bringing petrol and diesel under the purview of GST. Mahant Vinay Saraswat, President of Auto Vikram Transport Federation, said that it is condemnable for the Central Government and the State Government to increase the prices of diesel-petrol during the Corona period and bring the All India Permit Policy and Scrap Policy. He sent a memorandum to the PM through SDM regarding the demands of reducing diesel prices, giving relief to transport businessmen, etc.
