ASHA workers demonstrated at PHC Kalsi for various demands including giving respectable honorarium. ASHA workers accused the central and state government of ignoring the hopes. Through the PHC in-charge, ASHA workers sent a memorandum to the central and state governments demanding respectable honorarium. But till now the government has not taken any decision on their demands. Due to which there is anger among the ASHA workers. Angry ASHA workers protested at PHC Vikasnagar and raised slogans against the central and state government. ASHA workers said that from conception to childbirth and then vaccination etc., ASHA workers do all the care. But the hopefuls get nothing in return. Due to which the economic crisis is standing in front of the hopes. But the government has not yet resolved their demands. In the memorandum sent by the ASHA workers to the central and state government through the PHC in-charge, the ASHA workers have demanded that the demands of the ASHA workers be fulfilled soon. ASHAs have warned that if their demands are not met soon, a state-wide agitation will be held.
