Manipur government will give 1.2 crore rupees to Indian athletes who win gold in Olympics

Manipur government has announced cash incentives for all Indian athletes who won medals at the Summer Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. Announcing that Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that the state government will give a cash prize of Rs 1.2 crore to the gold medal winners in Tokyo Olympics, Rs 1 crore to the silver medalists and Rs 75 lakh to the bronze medal winners from the state.
The Chief Minister made this announcement during the launch of Selfie Points to encourage the Olympic-going Indian teams at a function held at the Secretariat.
