Petrol Rs 99 in Delhi, close to Rs 100 in Chennai

Oil marketing companies today increased the prices of petrol and diesel again, due to which its price has reached Rs 99 in Delhi and close to Rs 100 per liter in Chennai. Earlier there was no change in the prices. On Tuesday, petrol became costlier by up to 35 paise and diesel by 30 paise in four major metros of the country.

According to leading oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, the price of petrol in Delhi rose by 35 paise to Rs 98.81 and diesel by 28 paise to an all-time high of Rs 89.18 per liter in Delhi today. So far in June, the price of petrol in Delhi has increased by Rs 4.58 and that of diesel by Rs 4.03. Earlier in May, petrol was costlier by Rs 3.83 and diesel by Rs 4.42.

Petrol price increased by 34 paise and diesel by 30 paise in Mumbai. There one liter of petrol now costs Rs 104.90 and diesel Rs 96.72 which is a record level till date.
In Chennai and Kolkata, petrol became costlier by 31-31 paise to Rs 99.80 and Rs 98.64 per liter respectively. Diesel price increased by 26 paise to Rs 93.72 per liter in Chennai and 28 paise to Rs 92.03 per liter in Kolkata.

Petrol and diesel prices are reviewed daily and based on that new prices are implemented every day from 6 am. Today the prices of petrol and diesel in four metros of the country were as follows:
