Uttarakhand / Dehradun : Demonstration to demand grade pay of policemen

Suraj Seva Dal protested in front of Gandhi Park demanding grade pay of policemen. Union President Ramesh Joshi said that if the policemen do not get their grade pay by July 27, their team will visit Raj Bhavan in this regard. The party sent a letter to Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat demanding that the grade pay be given. Joshi said that once the policy was made that after 20 years of service, the grade pay of the police would be reduced to Rs 4600, then why is it being cut. He said that without any politics and discrimination on this, the policemen should be given grade pay. Radhika Prasad, Padma, Soni, Vandana, Pooja Negi, Sunita, Meherban, Rajendra, Kaveri, Brajesh Pandey etc. were present on this occasion. Everyone raised slogans in support of the police and demanded to be given grade pay.
