Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurates PSA Oxygen Plant in Basti
Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Mansukh Mandaviya today virtually inaugurated the PSA Oxygen Plant set up by Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) at OPEC Cali Hospital, Basti, Uttar Pradesh. Speaking on the occasion, Mandaviya said that the challenging times of the COVID pandemic have given us an opportunity to rethink and redevelop our health and medical infrastructure, increase manufacturing capacity and develop local supply networks. He said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken all possible steps to fight the pandemic and is committed to ensure better health and safety of the people of the country.
He said that the 500 Liters Per Minute (LPM) capacity Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Oxygen Plant has been set up as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project of Public Sector Fertilizer Company FACT. He informed that this is one of the 5 PSA oxygen plants ordered by FACT to meet the medical oxygen demand for various hospitals and the other four plants will be set up in various government hospitals in Kerala.
