Karan Johar announces new project, will make a film on Jallianwala Bagh massacre

Karan Johar is a veteran filmmaker of Bollywood. He has given many superhit films to the film world. Now Karan has announced a new project. He is about to make a film keeping the Jallianwala Bagh massacre at the centre. Karan has also shared the information related to the film on his social media handle. Karan’s Dharma Productions in association with Steel & Steel Media has announced the film.

Karan has shared information related to the film on his Instagram handle. He wrote in an Instagram post, “Excited and honored to bring the untold story of historical personality C Sankaran Nair to the big screen. The film will be directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. Wait for the detailed information. The film is based on the life of lawyer Sankaran. The title of the film is The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair.

It is reported that the film will present the court battle that Shankaran fought against the British government to bring out the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The film will be inspired by real life events. The film is based on the book The Case That Shook the Empire by Shankaran’s great-grandson Raghu Palt and his wife Pushpa Palt. The lead cast of the film can be announced soon.

Sankaran was born in the Chettar family of Malabar in 1857. Sankaran was a lawyer who also served as the President of the Indian National Congress in 1897. He also wrote the book Gandhi and Anarchy in 1922. The film will revolve around his court battle he fought against the British to uncover the truth of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
