Uttarakhand / Haridwar : Arrested for smuggling liquor

Police station Kankhal during patrolling has arrested a person carrying liquor on scooty near Jagjitpur. According to the information received from the police station, a campaign is being launched to crack down on illegal smuggling of liquor. As part of the campaign, constables Virendra and Brijmohan searched Bada Bazar Haridwar by stopping scooty rider Pawan Giri near MS Diversion Jagjitpur and searched 40 paves from plastic bags loaded on the scooty. After registering a case against the accused under the Excise Act, the scooty used in liquor smuggling was also seized.
