Italy reached the semi-finals of the Euro Cup by defeating Belgium 2-1

Four-time world champions Italy entered the semi-finals of the UEFA Euro Cup after beating Belgium 2-1 in the second quarter-final in Munich, Germany. Italy will now take on one-time world champions Spain in the first semi-final on 7 July.
For Italy, Nicolo Barella scored in the 31st minute and Lorenzo Insigne scored in the 44th minute to give the team a 2-0 lead. Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku scored from a corner in the extra time of the first half, although both teams could not score after that. Thus Italy won the match 2–1 and secured a place in the semi-finals.
