Indian Hockey Team Coach Reid Always Takes Team First Approach: Shivendra

Former Indian men’s hockey team forward player and current assistant coach Shivendra Singh says that the team’s head coach Graham Reid always follows the team first approach. Shivendra said on Monday that the focus of the team going for the Olympics has been on speed, acumen and skill during the national camp here.
Since the lockdown last year, the men’s team has been at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) center here where coach Reid is preparing for the Olympics.
Shivendra said, our focus is on speed, sharpness and skill. We focused on getting the training drills done according to the position of the players.
He said, Reid is very calm and always takes a team first approach in his coaching. He is involved with the entire coaching staff and maintains the unity of the team.
Shivendra explained that his responsibilities have grown since his early days as a coach and he is now more involved in analyzing and evaluating team data from training and matches.
Shivendra is confident that the team has the potential to bring a medal in the Olympics this year.
“I have faith in the potential of these players and am sure this team is one of the fittest teams in the world,” he said. Our team is a strong contender to win an Olympic medal.
