Air Force alert after drone attack, Air Force is buying counter aircraft system

The Indian Air Force has started procuring 10 anti-drone systems to avoid future attacks like the drone blast at Jammu Air Force Station. The main weapon of this Made India anti-drone system will be laser based. The Indian Air Force will deploy these anti-drone systems at different airbases. After this, it will be more difficult to attack the enemies through drones. After the attack on June 27, the Air Force has also issued a request for information (RFI) to Indian companies to buy anti-drone systems. The IAF has stated in the RFI that this Counter Unarmed Aircraft System (CUAS) should be capable of locating, tracking, identifying and destroying drones.

According to the RFI, the system should also have Global Navigation Satellite Jammer System (GNSS) and Radio Frequency Jammer. These features match Israel’s Drone Dome System, which detects and drops the smallest targets from a distance of 3 and a half kilometers with laser technology.

In addition, it must have a multi-sensor, multi-kill solution to fully maintain an effective no-fly zone for unmanned aircraft while causing minimal damage to the surrounding environment. It should tell the operator the exact position and send an alert based on a number of parameters. According to the information, the main weapon of this Made India anti-drone system will be laser based. The Indian Air Force will deploy these anti-drone systems at different airbases.
