Uttarakhand / Bageshwar : Demonstration of the people of Dungargaon, Chami and Majbe at the Collectorate
Villagers of Dungargaon, Majbe and Chami demonstrated on the Collectorate premises on Tuesday. He said that scheduled caste dominated villages were being neglected. He demanded the construction of a road from Dungargaon to Majbe, Dadimathok and Kairali, the seven-ratve main motor road to his village. Failure to do so warned of violent agitation. Villagers said that they have been agitating for a long time to connect Chami village by road. The demand for matching the road till Bhayeri via Ayurvedic Hospital Chami has been made for a long time. But till now no action has been taken. At the same time, the villagers of Malbe and Dungargaon said that the Martyr Ramesh Singh Parihar road should be matched via Dungargaon, Majbe till Darmithok village. He said that this road has been approved in the name of Kargil martyr since 1999. Till now the road has not been built till Dungargaon and Majbe. Due to lack of road to the village, it is difficult to bring the sick, pregnant, elderly etc. to the road. Apart from this, other pulses crops like fruits, vegetables etc. produced in the village are also not getting market. Nothing is being given to the villagers except false assurances. He said that if the construction of the road is not started within 60 days, then he will be forced to agitate. During this Naveen Parihar, Deep Chandra Joshi, Umesh Chandra Joshi, Indra Joshi, Chandan Singh, Bhagat Singh, Mohan Singh, Roop Singh, Darwan Singh, Rajendra Singh, Bahadur Singh, Hema Devi, Umed Singh etc. were present.
